THE ORIGIN

In 2015, Stanley and Marthin restored a 1971 Mercedes Benz 350SLC with an ambition to enter a classic car contest in Jakarta, Indonesia. Their efforts were appreciated by the onlookers and judges who were impressed by their detailed workmanship, which named them champion for the contest.

It has since gained them reputation, where many classic car collectors entrusted the restoration of their vehicles to the garage. The journey continued as they built a new facility, which now can hold up to 20 cars, while being facilitated by equipments specialised for car restoration and supported by skilled Technicians.

THE PIONEERS

The founder and CEO of Stanley Marthin Garage, Stanley, has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University. Besides, Stanley is also a collector of classic cars. His entrepreneur skills and leadership experiences has led to the pinnacle of Stanley Marthin in Indonesia, providing the best in restoring classic cars.

Marthin is a talented and passionate mechanic, his passion for motor mechanics sparked in his early twenties during a superbike racing in which he maintained and modified superbikes at the speed track. His years of experience in car manufacturing, engine rebuilding, interior and exterior details and managing the garage, has gained him multiple awards and is no doubt unquestionable.

Inspired by silhouette of pre-war cars, the project takes on a curvaceous volumetric composition over its main interior space. Visible industrial frames support translucent roof and exterior skin to let natural light into the working space. At night time, the building glows from within like a lantern or a bioluminescent organism. Vast platforms of working spaces are arranged for maximum viewing of each restoration process. This expansive cinematic interior environment climaxes at a mezzanine gallery, next to a semi-outdoor terrace to view natural scenery with Mount Tangkuban Parahu in the distance. We hope visitors will enjoy this introspective space while simultaneously appreciating and admiring the work of Stanley Marthin’s team.

PRE-RESTORATION AREA

The first stage of restoration where the car’s engine is overhauled and inspected, while the body is scrapped and cropped. The so called “naked” car now can be examined and marked by our detail-oriented examiners before it is brought to body works room.

BODY WORKS AREA

In this particular space, the car’s body will be carefully reshaped and polished according to the marks given by the examiner.

PAINT BOOTH

Distinguished by its unique construction in the garage, this paint booth is where primary coating and final paint works will be done.

FINAL ASSEMBLY AREA

The final stage of restoration where finishing is done, the engine is assembled back, and completed with the installation of lamps, seats and dashboard.

A place in the whole garage where the most un-imaginable and exclusive car parts restoration happens.
